Potato Variety Trial, 2017

The CCE Eastern NY Commercial Horticulture Program evaluated 21 varieties of potatoes in 2017 in white skin lines, red skin lines, yellow flesh lines, specialty lines, and russets.
The conventional trial was conducted in Schoharie County using 34" row spacing between rows and in row spacing of 8". The trial was planted May 12, 2017. The plants were irrigated 4 times in August. Vine were mowed the first week in September and potatoes were dug September 27. Grading occurred October 26 using grower grader with chains set at various lengths as seen in the data.
